We the Sydney Bens salute Bro Granville Perera FSC on his retirement as Director of St Benedict's with prayerful gratitude and thanks for the magnificent role he played in leading our Alma Mater from a waning institution to the leading Catholic College it has become. His charisma was unmistakable. His focus unwavering. His dedication relentless. He made possible the fusion of acedemic success and its arch-enemy sporting prowess and turned it into amiable reality. The energy he expended to attain set goals was remarkable. Indeed, Bro. Granville was a man for all seasons.
We wish you Brother a relaxing retirement (with your abounding energy that's something difficult for us to contemplate!) and may whatever you take on in the future, be providentially satisfying and successful. God bless.

The Sydney Bens send you our heartiest congratulations and devoted prayerful felicitations on your appointment as Director of our beloved Alma Mater. We have no doubt that the Holy Spirit had a hand in your election as the successor to Bro Granville who moulded the spirit of College to new heights. There is no doubt in our minds that you will continue to hold that Spirit of Benedictinity high into the clouds and lead it beyond into far horizons. We are certain that you will you will further reinforce the spirit of St Benedict in the heart of education in College and place your unique stamp on the history of our College in a special Janaka way. Rest assured, the Sydney Bens will continue to support our Alma Mater as in the past. We feel that St Benedict's is twice blessed that you have spent almost two fruitful years gaining higher education in Sydney with the De La Salle Brothers at Oakhill College. This is a wonderful experience that you can share with the students & the institution that God has placed in your capable hands.
We pledge our loyalty, support & prayers to you now and always. We will continue to support our College the best we can at all times. Above all Brother Director, rest assured of our good wishes and prayers always for success in every venture you undertake.
