Bens lose to Trinity in T20 Q/Finals
SportSt. Benedictís College bowed out of the Dialog Youth Under 19 Twenty20 Championships when they lost the quarterfinals to Trinity College Kandy by 21 runs, played at the CCC Grounds yesterday.(5th April)

Taking first lease of the wicket, Bens restricted Trinity College to a modest 138 for nine in 20 overs with the help of right arm medium pace Chandana Jayasanka (three for 11) and right arm off spinner Dilan Angelo (three for 23).

In reply, St. Benedict's were sitting pretty at one stage on 85 for 2, but slumped to be all-out for 117 runs in 18.4 overs. Sameera Sandamal scored a brilliant 43 runs for the Bens, who fell short by 21 runs with 8 balls to spare.

Trinity : 138 for 9 in 20 overs (Sachin Peiris 2 for 26, Chandana Jayasanka 3 for 11 and Dilan Anjelo 3 for 23)

St. Benedict's : 117 in 18.4 overs (Arjuna Perera 23 and Sameera Sandamal 43)
