The 3rd Mack-Croner Trophy ends in a Draw
SportThe inter school under 19 cricket encounter played for the Mack – Croner trophy, between traditional rivals, St Benedict’s College and St. Joseph’s College ended in a draw at Kotahena yesterday. (11th February) For the third time, the Mack- Croner Trophy was shared by the two teams.

Benedictines been invited to bat first, toiled to be all-out for 198 in 84.5 overs. 46 for 1 overnight, the Joes made a sporty declaration at 179 for 5, still 19 runs behind. Bens in their second innings declared at 152 for 7, setting a victory target of 172. Joes were 60 for 1 when stumps were drawn.

St. Benedict’s - 198 all out in 84.5 overs (Jason Perera 46, Praveen Gunawardana 23, Janidu Karunathilake 41, Johan Soysa 21) and 152 for 7 Dec (Arjuna Perera 57, Jason Perera 36, Sameera Sandamal 17)

St. Joseph’s - 46 for 1 overnight 179 for 5 Dec (Yohan Soysa 3 for 51) and 60 for 1
