Bens deprived of an outright win against Royal, Panadura
|St. Benedictís College were deprived of their third consecutive outright victory in their first XI Inter schools cricket Tournament match at Kotahena today (22nd Nov), when bad light stopped play 20 minutes before the close with Royal College, Panadura reeling at 100 for 8 in their second innings, still needing a further 21 runs to avoid an Innings defeat. However, Bens had to be content with first innings and bonus points which will be a moral boost for the rest of the tournament. |

Bens Skipper, Jason Perera was among the runs again cracking 103, his second century within a space of six days following his knock of 135 against Ananda College. Yoshan Soyza bowled best for St. Benedictís, claiming a match bag of 9 for 39.
